Conotec Temperature Controller Display Uses "FND" Component

The temperature controller display utilizes an "FND" (Fluorescent Numeric Display) component to show information such as temperature, function commands, and error codes.

Examples:

  • 29.5℃ (Temperature display)
  • O-E (Error code display)
  • TYP (Type selection – choose between cooling or heating)

▶What is FND?

Flexible Numeric Display

An FND is a display device that can show numbers or characters and is commonly referred to as a "seven-segment display."

It’s a component often used in calculators, elevator number panels, and digital clocks.

When I first saw the display on a temperature controller, I couldn’t figure out what some of the characters meant.

I could recognize the numbers, but the English letters? I had to stare at them for a while to figure them out. If you’ve ever had the same thought, I hope this post helps you!

Interpreting Controller Function Commands

The controller's FND screen is small, so it can only display up to 3 characters.

As a result, commands are shown using 3-character abbreviations.354a4ee7dc1f5975b6295685ee947378_1733208886_0922.png
